June 18, 2020

This discussion addresses issues of “hyper-hygiene” and “hyper-disciplinary” required of audiences for artistic events, and sanitary measures that were put in place after the first lockdown in June 2020.
The pandemic radically altered the ways in which bodies gather in public spaces. How does this affect the organisation and reception of exhibitions?
It questions the functioning of existing disciplinary mechanisms and the invention of new ones which are taking place at the same time as the mobilisations against police violence and in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
This encounter takes place within the framework of the project Objets Magiques organized by Kristina Solomoukha and Paolo Codeluppi.
